Facebook said on Wednesday it had suspended three networks of Russian accounts that attempted to interfere in the domestic politics of eight African countries, and were tied to a Russian businessman accused of meddling in past U.S. elections.

Russia's President Vladimir Putin said on Moday, October 21, 2019 that he is ready to offer help to Africa with no strings attached unlike what he cast as the exploitative West.This assertion Putin made in a bid to step up Russia’s push for influence in Africa and is coming days before he hosts a summit with African leaders.
