Samsung Electronics forecast a 23-percent rise in second-quarter operating profit Tuesday, with strong demand for memory chips and displays overcoming the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on smartphone sales.

Samsung has unveiled its new set of devices and accessories on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. The unveiling took place at the Samsung Unpacked, which saw the three versions of its new flagship device, the Galaxy S20, a new version of its foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip and a new pair of buds to rival Apple’s.

The Chairman of the world’s biggest smartphone and chip maker,Samsung Electronics,  has been jailed for sabotaging union activities, prompting a rare apology on Wednesday, December 18, 2019  from the firm. 

Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has revealed its plan to shut down a CPU research division at one of its U.S. facilities, a move that analysts said dimmed prospects for the tech giant’s Exynos-branded mobile chips.
