Next year’s coronavirus-postponed Olympics could be held in front of a “limited number of spectators” to prevent the spread of infection, Tokyo 2020 chief executive Toshiro Muto has said.

NBCUniversal Media,(NBCU) has obtained more than $1bn national advertising commitments for the 2020 Olympics and expects to surpass the $1.2bn in national ad revenue it earned from the prior summer games.

Russia on Monday, December 9, 2019 was banned from the Olympics and other major world championships. The ban came as a result of the decision of the sporting officials to punish the country for tampering with doping-related laboratory data in another blow to Russia’s already tarnished sporting reputation.
