Governor of  Ekiti State , Kayode Fayemi has reacted to his purported suspension by a faction of the All Progress Congress (APC), referring to it as a joke taken too far.

The State Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has suspended Governor Kayode Fayemi.

Ekiti State Governor,  Kayode Fayemi on Tuesday, reshuffled his cabinet with seven new nominees to the State’s Executive Council. This is in a bid to bring more vigour and add value to the State’s Executive Council.

The Ekiti State Government has filed a suit against the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) over the constitutionality of his directive issued on April 20, 2020, prescribing Virtual Court Sittings to the Head of Courts at federal and state levels.

For Nigeria to emerge stronger from the COVID-19 pandemic, it must take actions to quickly address its short-term challenges including cutting costs, the Chairman of the Nigeria Governorship Forum (NGF), Dr Kayode Fayemi, has said.
