The Federal Government has pledged its support to the 650,000 barrels per day capacity Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals Plant with crude oil feed stock and other necessary inputs to ensure the success of the project.

Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote has expressed confidence in his current project of building one of the world’s biggest refineries in Lagos.

Mallam Mele Kyari, the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has explained that the Corporation is looking forward to having a partnership with Dangote Refinery in order to turn Nigeria into a fully fledged fuel-exporting country.

As the commencement date for operations at the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Limited draws closer, the company has disclosed that cash flow from the $12 billion refinery project will go towards crude oil production.

A permanent end will come to the importation of petroleum products in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa, with the imminent completion of the 650,000 barrels-per-day (bpd) Dangote Refinery at Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos.
