Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu said on Monday during a media briefing on COVID-19 in the state, that he will enforce the use of face masks by residents in the state from next week.

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has ordered the closure of markets and stores in the state. According to the Governor, the closure is to take effect from Thursday, March 26, 2020.

Moved by the daily nightmares that commuters and motorists experience on Lagos roads, the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered the immediate reconstruction of the dilapidated highways and roads considered critical to the reduction of traffic congestion in the State.

The office of the Governor of Lagos State has denied withdrawal of $470 million to finance Federal Government’s delegation to watch the Nigeria-Cameroon match at the ongoing African Cup of Nations( AFCON). Lagos State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had issued a press release claiming that the State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu withdrew the sum of $470m to take himself and some persons including APC Chieftains to watch the Nigeria-Cameroon match at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The outgoing-governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode has handed over the stewardship of the centre of excellence to the state governor-elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
