PRESIDENT JONATHAN SACKS SPORTS MINISTER ABDULLAHI
President Goodluck has sacked the Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi.
Dr. Tamuno Danagogo who is one of the 11 newly appointed ministers was ordered by the President to take over from Abdullahi.
The president had on February 21 forwarded names of 12 ministerial candidates to the Senate for clearance, from which 11 were cleared.
President Jonathan assigned portfolios to the new ministers shortly after they took their oaths of offices at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The new ministers with their offices are as follows:
. Senator Musiliu Obanikoro – Minister of State Defence (Lagos)
. Mohammed Wakil – Minister of State Power (Borno)
. Alhaji Abduljelili Adesiyan – Minister of Police Affairs (Osun)
. Ambassador Aminu Wali – Minister of Foreign Affairs (Kano)
. Mrs. Akon Eyakenyi – Minister of Land and Housing (Akwa Ibom)
. Lawrencia Laraba Mallam – Minister of Environment (Kaduna)
.Dr. Tamuno Dangogo – Minister of Sports (Rivers)
. Haija Asabe Asamu Ahmed – Minister of State Agriculture (Niger)
. Gen. Aliyu Gusau – Minister of Defence (Zamfara)
. Boni Haruna – Minister of Youth Development (Adamawa)
. Dr. Khaliru Alhassan – Minister of State Health (Sokoto)
