Jonathan holds 7th Presidential Media Chat Today

President Goodluck Jonathan will on Sunday May 4, hold his seventh Presidential Media Chat since being sworn into office in May 2011.

The programme, to be aired live on various radio and TV stations, holds by 7:00 p.m., Reuben Abati, Mr. Jonathan’s spokesperson, said in a statement.

During the programme, President Jonathan will respond to questions from a panel of journalists and media executives on current national issues and developments.

Issues on the worsening security situation in various parts of the country, particularly the north, are expected to be the main focus of the chat.

The kidnap of the over 200 girls from a secondary school in Chibok, Borno State is also expected to be a major issue as well as the World Economic Forum which holds in Abuja next week and for which Mr. Jonathan has virtually ordered the shutdown of the Nigerian capital.
