Sturridge And SuarezOver the last couple of weeks, a number of strikers across Europe have caught the eye with wonderful goals and top-drawer performances.

In the English Premier League, the buzzword is SAS, an acronym for the burgeoning strike partnership of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge. Suarez scored a hattrick against West Bromich Albion and his ‘partner-in-crime’, Daniel Sturridge got on the score sheet too.

Romelu Lukaku continued his free scoring form, reminding Jose Mourinho that he made a huge mistake letting him go on loan to Everton. He scored his fifth goal of the season as Everton beat Aston Villa at Villa Park 2-0.

In the Spanish La Liga, Diego Costa, whose allegiance is torn between representing Spain and Brazil scored a brace in Athletico Madrid’s huge win over Austria Vienna. He also scored as Athletico Madrid beat Real Betis 5-0 during the weekend.

In the German Bundesliga, Bayern Munich had Mario Mandzukic to thank as his brace enabled them overcome the stubborn resistance of Hertha Berlin 3-2 at the Allianz Arena.

Zlatan IbrahimovicIn the French Ligue 1, it has been the Zlatan Ibrahimovic show. After netting a quadrupule in the Champions League game against Anderlecht, he scored a jaw-dropping, acrobatic goal against Bastia in the French Ligue 1. His performances have prompted Arsene Wenger to claim that on current form, the giant Swede is better than Messi and Ronaldo.

Honourable mention goes to Sergio Aguero, Neymar Jr, and Alexis Sanchez who scored beautiful goals for their respective clubs.

Poser; who do you think is the most in-form striker in Europe currently?
