An Abuja high court has ordered the Atorney-General of the federation and the Directorate of State Security (DSS) to allow lawyers access to the embattled suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele.
Justice H. Mu’azu of the Abuja High Court granted the ruling based on the prayers of Emefiele’s lawyers including Mr. J.B Daudu SAN, Mr. Michael Aondoaka SAN, B. C Igwillo. and J.G. Ojeh SAN.
Others are A.T. Kehinde SAN, Abdulkareem Labi-,Lawal, Oluwole Fatohunda, Adedayo Adedeji, Onynye P. James and Aishetu Issa.
Hearing has been fixed for June 30, 2023.
It would be recalled that Emefiele was arrested on Saturday, June 10 over allegations bordering on funding terrorism.
