Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari has explained the reasons behind her over two months absence from the country.

According to the President’s wife, her long absence was chiefly on her doctor’s medical advice.

Mrs Buhari made this known while feeding questions from newsmen shortly after her arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

She said despite the fact that she was well at the moment, she still needed more rest.

“I have taken my holiday for this year and it happened after the holiday. I needed to attend to my health before going to Saudi. After my Saudi trip, I went back to the UK based on doctor’s instruction,’ she said.

She further commended Nigerians for their ‘contant prayers for her and President Muhammadu Buhari’.
