MTV on Wednesday, October 2 announced the nominations for the 2019 MTV European Music Awards (EMAs)
Six top musicians from the African continent, including Nigerian international award winner, Burna Boy; BET Award nominee, Teni; South African rapper, Nasty C and hitmaker Prince Kaybee; Togo’s duo Toofan and Tanzanian musician, Harmonize, are nominated for the Best African Act award category.
The annual award ceremony will be held at the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Centre in Seville, Andalusia, Spain on Sunday, 3rd of November, 2019 and air live on MTV in nearly 180 countries at 9 p.m. CET.

However, American vocalist act, Ariana Grande leads with seven nominations while Shawn Mendes, Lil Nas X and Billie Eilish have six nominations each. J Balvin has five while Taylor Swift and Lizzo each have four nominations.
