Oando CEO Wins 2014 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award

Group Chief Executive, Oando Plc, Adewale Jubril Tinubu recently emerged winner of the Mater Category of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year West Africa 2014 Award. Jubril fend off competition from Coscharis CEO, Cosmos Mauka , Izon Limited Chyairman, Kwesi Amoafo-Yeboah and Rainoil Limited CEO, Gariel Ogbechie to emerge winner at the award ceremony held in Lagos.

The award which is in its fourth edition in West Africa was instituted to celebrate the business leaders of the region who have made difference by turning an individual dream into the reality of wealth, job creation and growth for their respective industries as well as for the West African economy as a whole.

Managing Director of Falcon Corporation Limited, Prof. Joseph Ezigbo and Co-founders cum Executive Director, Mrs. Audrey Joe-Ezigbo emerged winners of in the Emerging Entrepreneur Category. Executive Chairman of Honeywell Group, Dr. Ayoola Oba Otudeko, also bagged Lifetime Achievement award.

Having emerged winner of the Master Category, Jubril will thus represent West Africa at the global EY World Entrepreneur awards in Monte Carlo come June 2015.

Former winners of the award include: Aigboge Aig-Imoukhuede of Access Bank in 2011, Aliko Dangote of Dangote Group in 2012, Austine Avuru of Seplat in 2013.
