Seun Kuti has doubled down on his assault on a Police Officer on 3rd Mainland Bridge as as he boasts about how many policemen he has slapped in a video posted on social media where he remained defiant and unapologetic about his action.

He criticises those who accused him of being so aggressive because he is the son of the late Afro Beat King, Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

He asks, “You no know say because Jesus an God picking, that’s why e fit die for you?”

He adds that you must know who you are before you make your move, so he makes his move from where he is, because he knows who he is.

Earlier, Seun Kuti, an Afrobeat musician, has explained why he went into a rage and slapped a police officer in a recent viral video.

In a now-viral video, the Afrobeat star can be seen assaulting a police officer who is on duty.

Kuti responded via his Instagram account on Saturday, saying the police officer had tried to kill him and his family.

He said that the policeman had expressed regret and had been pardoned.

He urged anyone who claimed he was after influence to mind their own business and prevent the police officer from losing his job.

Kuti wrote, “He tried to kill me and my family. I have the proof but I no dey chase clout. He has apologised and I have agreed not to press charges.

“Make una mind una business make the poor guy no lose him job,”

Meanwhile, Femi Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and human rights lawyer, has said he will provide legal services to Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, who sought his intervention following the singer’s alleged assault on a police officer.

Falana has assured that Seun would turn himself in to the Police authorities today, Monday. The IGP had earlier directed his immediate arrest but a visit to Seun’s home was fruitless.
