Traditional ruler commends Soludo on road projects

Igwe Oranu Chidume of Omor Kingdom in Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra, has commended Gov. Chukwuma Soludo for awarding the construction of Amansi-Oba-Ofemili, Umolum-Omor roads.

Chidume gave the commendation while speaking to journalists at the end of joint meeting of Omor Supreme Elders Council and Royal Cabinet on Friday.

He said that road development was another way of delivering prosperity to the people and congratulated the state government on the strides achieved.

According to him, the road project will further connect Omor town to other communities as well as engender enormous human and capital development.

“The good people of Omor are particularly happy with the flag-off of the Amansi-Oba-Ofemili road, where work has started in earnest.

“Omor and other communities in Ayamelum LGA are known for agricultural produce. it will no longer be difficult to access other part of the state.

“The completion of the roads will ensue the seamless distribution and movement of agro products to every nook and crannies of the state.

“While we want to appreciate Gov. Soludo for his efforts, we reassure him of our unflinching support to his government, ” he said.

Also speaking, Justice Paul Obidigwe, a former Chief Judge of Anambra State, also applauded the governor for the rapid developmental feats recorded within a short space of time.

“Gov. Soludo tours round the state himself to take stock of the places that needs urgent attention for infrastructural development and then swing into action. That is highly commendable.

“He has started the construction of roads and other infrastructure on all the areas that seemed to have been neglected over the years,” he said.

On his part, Chief Paul Madumelum, a member of the Royal Cabinet, also commended the governor for improved security in the state.

“There is relative peace in Anambra now and we urge the governor to sustain the momentum until the state is rid of all criminal elements and people can visit home during the Yuletide season without fear of insecurity, “he said.
