SONA AGRO ALLIED FOODS RECEIVES PRESIDENTIAL ENDORSEMENT

Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was full of praises for the premium quality of products in the Sona Agro Allied Foods’ stable at the recently held exhibition organised by the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Acting President Osinbajo expressed delight and joy when he affirmed that with the quality of products from Sona Agro, which meets international standards, they can easily replace the imported products on the shelfs in Nigerian Markets. Acting President Osinbajo enthused satisfaction when he tasted Sona Foods’ Cashew Biscuits, Sona Bites. He was especially excited with the good taste and crunchiness of the product as he delivered his presidential verdict: “excellent biscuits”. The acting President was equally thrilled to hear that about ninety percent of ingredients used in manufacturing Sona Foods’ products are sourced from Nigeria in line with the federal government’s backward integration drive which has always been faithfully adhered to by Sona Foods and all companies within the Sona Group.

The Acting President was accompanied to the Sona Foods’ stand by the Governor of Ogun State, Governor Ibikunle Amosun who equally expressed joy with the laudable strides of Sona Foods and, indeed, the Sona Group of Companies as he noted that the company and the group is situated in Ogun State, providing direct and indirect employment to citizens of the state. He informed the Acting President that his government recently flagged off the exportation programme of the company at a ceremony in their factory as the first set of container loads of Sona Foods products departed for Ghana.
