Since the Super Eagles became ChamStephenkeshipions of Africa in the early part of 2013; Nigerians have raised the bar of their expectation of the team. Ahead of the coming world cup in Brazil, the senior national team coach, Stephen Keshi has said Nigeria must be realistic about next year’s World Cup after top officials had suggested a semi-final target for the team.

The Super Eagles have failed to make it past the round of 16 in their last previous four outings at the World Cup. Going into Friday’s group draw, Keshi said all finalists have a point to prove in the tournament, hence no team should be seen as push over. “We have to be realistic because there are no small teams among the 32 going to Brazil, any of the teams will be tough. We have no preference of any of the countries to be our group. All we need do is to prepare well for every team and take the games one after the other.”
