SEPLAT board announces Avuru’s resignation as non-executive director

The Board of Seplat Energy Plc on Wednesday announced the resignation of Mr Austin Avuru, a Non-Executive Director, from the Board of SEPLAT Energy with effect from March 1, 2022.

Seplat announced this in a statement at the Nigerian Exchange Ltd., (NGX) which was signed by  Edith Onwuchekwa, its Company Secretary.

“In line with the provisions of the Company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association, his replacement will be nominated to the Board.

“The Board wishes to sincerely thank Avuru for his founding role and contribution to SEPLAT Energy for the past decade,” the company said.

The company had earlier announced the termination of the appointment of Mr Avuru as a Non-Executive Director on Dec. 22 2021, due to breaches of the company’s corporate governance policies.
