Lagos Countdown: LASAA Unveils Plans For 2013

Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA), organizers of the Lagos Countdown, has revealed that preparations for the 2013 event are in progress.

The event which is usually celebrated at the end of one year and the beginning of another in the state was conceived by the State Governor Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, he initiated the world-class celebration in order to put Lagos on the global map.

LASAA’s aim for the State Government is to leverage the proposition of Lagos State as a premium destination for business and leisure.

The countdown kicked off in earnest on November 15th with a press conference at the LASAA head office to unveil the event sponsors as well as the event ambassadors. The ambassadors present at the LASAA office were actress Funke Akindele, Don Jazzy and legendary musician 2face Idibia.

Like last year, this year’s countdown will hold at the Bar Beach, Victor Island starting from December 7- January 1 2014.

The Bar Beach venue of the event usually becomes a beehive of major commercial and leisure activities, as it is besieged by thousands of domestic and foreign visitors every evening by different artists.

Among the countdown sponsors are Nigerian Breweries Plc, Zenith Bank, Airtel, Mikano, Pepsi, Forte Oil, Dangote group and ICSL.
