Heartland general manager, Okechukwu Ibeh has charged the side to prove their superiority against oriental neighbours, Abia Warriors.

The Naze Millionaires will play host to Abia Warriors in Wednesday’s Glo Premier League match day 5 encounter at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.

Both sides ended their hostilities one goal apiece in both legs of their league encounters last season in Owerri and Umuahia respectively.

Ibeh challenged the side to go all out to subdue the Umumahia-based opponents who almost achieved an upset in their last visit to Owerri in the immediate past season.

“I charged you to keep your heads calm aimed at beating Abia Warriors hands down in Wednesday’s clash in Owerri.

“I want you to keep the high momentum achieved so far in the ongoing season and avoid any form of complacency.

“Abia Warriors were on the verge of an upset before you rallied round to end the match one goal apiece same result that unfolded in Umuahia last season but you’ve something to prove that you’re the superior side with a convincing win,” said Ibeh to supersport.com.

The Heartland boss splashed a cash sum of two hundred thousand Naira (N200,000) on the players shortly after the side dumped Kwara United 3-1 in match day 4 clash on Sunday llorin.

Fans and supporters of the side, supersport.com gathered have been trooping out enmasse to the side office demanding for replica jerseys as well as other souvenirs.

Heartland lead the 20-team elite league on nine points from possible 12 though with a game at hand against champions, Kano Pillars.
