Edo State Set To Host International Trade Fair

The Benin Chamber Of Commerce, Industry, Mines And Agriculture (BECCIMA) has announced that the ancient city of Benin would be the venue for this year’s edition of Edo International Trade Fair. The Fair which BECCIMA is hosting in conjunction with Mo-Epams Logistics Limited is expected to run from December 7 to 21.

The Fair which has as its theme; “Promoting Trade For Economic Development And Poverty Eradication” was expected to attract a host of small and medium-scale operators.

Briefing journalists at a press conference, Andy Edobor, President of BECCIMA remarked that the main aim of the trade exhibition was to revitalize commercial and industrial activities in the state. He urged small and medium-scale business operators to avail themselves of the opportunity presented by the fair.

At the briefing which was attended by Godwin Imodu, Chief Operating Officer of Mo-Epams, the President of BECCIMA also disclosed that a number of foreign firms have indicated their interest to participate in the 2-week trade extravaganza. A Lagos-based marketing services firm, Visibility Plus Limited has been contracted to market the fair.
