Burna Boy, Wizkid Win Big At 2020 BET Awards

Nigerian ace Afrobeat musicians, Burna Boy and Wizkid have both emerged winners at the 20th BET Awards held on Sunday, June 28, 2020 via virtual media across the world due to COVID-19.

Nigeria’s Burna Boy and Wizkdwon the Best International Act and BET HER Awards respectively. Sha Sha, the Zimbabwean act also won the Best New International Act Award.

Wizkid’s feature on Beyonce’s ‘Brown Skin Girl’ track won him his Award category, making history as the African artiste with the most BET awards win.

The award which was hosted by Amanda Seales saw performers like Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch, Chloe X Halle, DaBaby, Jay Rock, Jennifer Hudson, Questlove, Nas, Usher, YG, and many more.

The biggest winners on the night wereBeyoncé, Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, Chris Brown, Roddy Ricch, DJ Khaled, Nipsey Hussle and John Legend. The won two awards each.
