Marvin and Yaya, with the paired name “MAYA”, housemates of the ongoing television reality show, Big Brother Titans (BBTitans), have been evicted from the show.
This was announced by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the host of the show, during the eviction night on Sunday.
Team Maya had the lowest vote of 5.94 percent while team BLAQLENG got 7.61per cent and team YELISA had 15.03 percent.
Similarly, Jenni O and Mmeli were evicted in the previous week.
Yaya and Marvin had upon eviction expressed shock and disappointment over being evicted, saying they were not expecting such development.
Yaya also said his colleague, Marvin, had been a great personality and a wonderful team player who had made her stay in the house amazing.
”I am really disappointed but ‘am gonna miss this guy. He is a great guy, he made my stay in the house so amazing,” she said.
The show runs into the fifth week as 16 housemates were left on the show, competing for the grand prize of $100,000 (about N46million).
Despite winning the Flutterwave task, the two failed to emerge as Heads of House or be saved from evictions.
The pair were evicted on the fifth Sunday after spending a total of 36 days – five weeks in the house.
Reacting to the disappointing news delivered by co-host Lawrence, Yaya said, “I am disappointed; I feel like I could have had a good run.”
Marvin responded by saying, “We had a connection. We got attracted to each other. She’s so easy to talk to. She’s God-sent.”
Before the pair walked off the stage, Marvin took the time to address his feud with Kanaga Jnr.
He revealed that he was not upset that Kanaga didn’t use his veto power privilege to save him. However, Marvin added that he was disappointed because he thought they had a connection.
In his words, “Kanaga and I had formed a connection. It was not about him putting me up, it was how early it was. For him to put me up that early?”
With Marvin and Yaya out, there are now 16 housemates left in the ongoing ‘BBTitans’ show.
