Senator Bola Ahmed Tinnubu, who is the National Leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, yesterday, declared in Osogbo that the Presidential candidate of the party brand for the 2015 general elections would soon emerge.
Speaking to newsmen after a closed door meeting with the Osun State government officials led by Governor Rauf Aregbesola and leaders of the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN ,over the crisis arising from the new education policy in the state, Tinubu emphasized that the party’s presidential candidate would emerge through an open and transparent system.
He however displayed great confidence that the party would take over from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at the upcoming general election next year. Also maintaining that the success of the just concluded registration exercise of party membership across the country was an attestation that the party was on the path of winning the 2015 presidential election.
Tinubu dispelled all fears of possible crisis in the process of selecting the party’s flag bearer, reason being that there had never been crisis in the party and there would not be any crisis even after the selection of the party’s acceptable candidate.
The APC leader also expressed great enthusiasm over the victory of the party in the June and August governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states respectively, saying, “The PDP is not a threat to the APC in both Ekiti and Osun states and by the grace of God we are coming out victorious in the elections.”
