Engr. Simbi Wabote has stepped down as the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) as Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe has been named the new boss by President Bola Tinubu.
The new NCDMB CEO is the director of Construction Equipment and Projects Limited, a company incorporated in Lagos.
This comes as Tinubu has approved a nine-member governing council and management of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).
Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, disclosed this in a statement on last week in Abuja.
BRANDPOWER reports that the new NCDMB board members include Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, Chairman/HMS, Petroleum Resources; Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, Executive Secretary, and Oritsemyiwa Eyesan, Member/EVP Upstream, NNPCL.
Others are Gbenga Komolafe, member/CEO, NUPRC; Bekearedebo Augusta Warrens, member, and Nicolas Odinuwe, member.
The rest are Rapheal Samuel, member; Sadiq Abubakar, member and Olorundare Sunday Thomas, member.
NCDMB records remarkable triumphs under Wabote leadership
”Tinubu expects this highly qualified body of experts to discharge their duties with a patriotic resolve to significantly enhance indigenous industry participation in the energy sector.

Wabote’s era

He was appointed as the Executive Secretary on the 29th of September 2016,worked with stakeholders to ensure that NCDMB served as an enabler of business, while emphasizing that the agency’s regulatory decisions are always taken from a pragmatic point of view.
The Board
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) was established in 2010 by the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act. NCDMB is vested with the mandate to make procedures that will guide, monitor, coordinate and implement the provisions of the NOGICD Act signed into law on April 22, 2010.
